JOB SUMMARY: 
The US Eye Clinical Applications Specialist – PMS (Practice Management System) supports the company with the practice management system, as well as a variety of software platforms designed to positively impact clinical operations. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties as required): 
  • Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and performance of the practice management and other ancillary systems. 
  • Build and maintain provider scheduling templates. 
  • Develop and manage standardized templates for forms, labels, letters, fee tickets, and patient communications. 
  • Assist managers and staff with report development. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for system related issues, enhancements, and support. 
  • Assist with system upgrades, testing, and go-lives in collaboration with IT and vendor teams. 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to improve system utilization and efficiency. 
  • Act as a liaison with vendor(s) for support, enhancement requests, escalations, and system roadmap discussions. 
  • Track key system performance indicators and present reports to leadership. 
  • Support change management and communication strategies related to system changes. 
  • Work directly with system vendors to add, update, or term practice(s), locations, and providers. 
  • Assist with implementation and training for newly partnered practices. 
  • Advises on and assists with implementation of policies, protocols, and systems which improve practice productivity, efficiency, and customer service which support the enhancement of revenue. 
  • Adherence to applicable laws, regulations and contractual obligations.   Follows the principles of the Compliance Program as well as the Code of Conduct.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or control, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel and crouch. Demonstrated manual dexterity sufficient to operate basic office equipment.  
 
The employee may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 
 
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. 
 
TRAVEL: 
Travel is required from time to time. 
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Two years of working in a medical office supporting front-office, and revenue cycle workflows. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Working knowledge of NextGen Enterprise Practice Management preferred.  
  • Knowledge of MIPS (CMS) program preferred. 
 
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Associate or bachelor’s Degree
