Clinical Educator (RN)

The PACE Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing clinical education programs that support the competency and professional growth of PACE nursing and clinical staff. This role provides orientation and onboarding for all new PACE employees, including nurse travelers and practicum students, ensuring a smooth transition into HopeWest and preparation for their roles. As the lead for nursing education content, the PACE Clinical Educator collaborates with clinical leadership to develop, refine, and implement a structured clinical curriculum that aligns with PACE regulatory requirements and best practices. This includes ongoing training, competency evaluations, and continuing education initiatives tailored to the unique needs of the PACE clinical team. Additionally, this position leads the training and certification process for all new hires on the HopeWest Way PACE model structures, fostering a consistent organizational culture. The PACE Clinical Educator is also responsible for ensuring that all educational offerings meet PACE compliance standards, equipping staff with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.

What is PACE?

PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 180 PACE programs, serving more than 80,700 participants in 33 states.

The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise.

What You Bring:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current Colorado licensure; graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • One year of PACE or three years home health, medical/surgical, or comparable hospital experience required.
  • Ability to create and present educational sessions and the accompanying materials for optimal learning.
  • Ability to set priorities and follow through.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulations and policies applicable to the clinical areas, including role-based scope of practice.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft office products.
  • Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
  • Works effectively with a variety of team members, i.e. role, discipline, experience level, generation.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance and access to reliable transportation.
