Overview:
The Division of Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is seeking dynamic Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) faculty.
Ideal candidates for this position should be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine through Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine or dual boarded in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics.
Three pathways are available for this role, clinician educator, research scholar, and clinical excellence. Educational/clinical/translational scholarship and opportunities are encouraged and available. The position offers a competitive salary, bonus plan and an excellent benefits package. Overnight shifts include additional compensation.
Nationwide Children’s hospital is the third largest pediatric hospital in the country with 696 beds. The medical staff includes over 550 full-time faculty of The Ohio State School of Medicine. The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) has primary responsibility for the care of patients in Nationwide Children’s Emergency Department, which is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with more than 60 faculty members and approximately 80,000 patient visits per year.
Emergency Medicine has a robust research infrastructure with more than 8 research assistants, a full time biostatistician, senior research scientist, and pre and post award administrative support.
We are one of six lead nodes comprising the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), the first federally funded pediatric emergency medicine research network in the United States.
Emergency Medicine includes an active federally funded disaster science program that includes research and disaster science education and disaster medicine focused faculty and project managers.
