Responsible for the continuing development and implementation of outpatient education in the area of diabetes management
- Valid Alabama RN license.
- Currently board certified as a diabetes educator (CDE) or board eligible preferred.
- 3-5 years medical nursing experience required.
- Experience in patient or staff education preferred.
- Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Strong oral and written skills required
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities required
- Must be self directed and able to work independently
- License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Alabama, National Certification as Nurse Practitioner, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Additional specialty certification per P and P for assigned unit (Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), etc.).
